DOES ANY1 KNOW THE SPECS ON A B16A/B20B SWAP(HP/TQ) AND WOULD USING A NEWER BLOCK MAKE A DIFFERENCE

a newer block would nicer assuming it has less wear. otherwise I don't think there's a design difference that would make a newer one better than a older one. if anything, throw in a new set of rings while it's apart and you'll be fine.
