well since you dont have very much money coming in a month i would suggest intake first. Either save up and get an aem or iceman or you can get a arospeed or lesser name cold air intake for about that if not less. Ask accordy2g or candymanjl what they can do for you, they just started a lil business thing.

Thanks for the info. I figured intake was the best way to go and i will have a little more money coming in soon cause i am making about 300 dollar payments and i am getting them financed so i will have about another 150 to 200 dollars a month. I have about 400 dollars saved up which is chump change when it comes to buying car parts but still. My friend and I have been messing with his car we put in a Turbo Timer and a blowoff valve and we are gona mess with his CAT today. so i have a lil experience. i can prob do most mods my self. He has a MX-6 GT its a sweet car but it doesnt get enough credit. I live in a small town so cops are scarce. And so are fast cars we want to change that. Every one has a Truck which i think is weak. because my friend is running a 1\4 at 93 Mph. so he beats every one. i beat everyone but him and another truck.But there is this guy with a Cuda. he scares me hes pushing over 550 horses. AHHHH the front end comes off the ground. HAHA sourds like TFATF. ohhh well this is to long

hehehe thats funy at least there a lil cops around your neck of the woods... I would go with a cold air intake then save up and spray since ur funds are scare it would be a long time before you could save for a turbo kit or SC, so thats the next best alternative. If you and when you want an intake let me know maybe i can hook you up.

Dude in my town there are a couple names Tidwell, Jones, and Parsons. Millionaires in a town that only has 1500 people. Tidwell owns the Cuda. Parsons owns a couple BMW's and the Jones's well lets just say the new SL from Merc. tell you anything those are sweet ass cars and there kids are all in my class the drive fucking trucks though. oh yeah and the huffmans but there daughter drives a HONDA. So shes do able. oh and the jonse's also bought their son a SLK which i smoke religiously

JDM JDM JDM, do an engine swap, that engine you got is Pitiful, 100 hp Automatic!!!!!!!. Id get a b18c5 (200hp) Type R and the best turbo charger you can get, Along with inter cooler,New cams , flywheel , headers ,Computer modual, and most importantly an exuast system. Also i would throw in a decent shot of nitros to elimate the lag from the turgo. And last but not least a DvD Player if you want to impress the ladys. Do this and you have a good chance of being the Fastest 16 year Old in The Country!!!!!!!!!! ...........or you can just get an intake.

No man i dont have an automatic. I have a standard. unless were are talking about two different things. but yeah that all sounds good but go to have the mola. i just want some help when i comes to deciding like when i get around to getting the parts. Type-R really sounds good did you say 200 hp. my car has aprox.130 horses.\
but weighs about 2100 pounds give or take.

look buddy, if you want a fast car a Civic dx isnt a good platform, certainly not somthing worth throwing money at. engine swaps dont always go smoothly, rember, the more stock things you change on your car, the more unrelaible it becomes. an integra motor is nice...but why do an engine swap when you could just save some cash up and buy a real sports car, like say i dunno...an integra type R? i dunno, i considered moding my p.o.s. toyota corrola when i first got it...then i realized what a lost cause it was and started saving. a civic dx is a dog, my sugestion to you? put in a decent sound system, beat the hell outta that car, and then sell it when you have enough for a better one. but dont mod an econo box unless you have the cash to make it worth while....thats just stupid :rolleyes:

Its all about the hustle dawg, yeah you could waste all your money on an expensive stock race car and have basically what everyone else has. No one will race you cuz they know what your car is capable of. Now if you take a low preformance car and turn up the hp, your little 4 cylinder will be blowing out mustangs and corvetts left and right leaveing them broke after they race you. Thats where the money is, you could even quit your day job. Believe me it is possible for a honda civic to beat a ferrari, since everyone would bet on the ferrari, just think all the money you could win from a race like that!!!

Not TFATF but Mtvs True life "im a street racer", That guys 1990 4 door All motor LS vtec integra is fast as hell :eek: :eek:. He almost made over $1000 in 3 races if he dident miss a shit on the last one. Got Damn thats alot...

no actually i havent ever street raced, its stupid, immature and wreakless. there are way too many cops out there and way too much shit that can happen. besides its gotten too damn trendy ever since the underground import scean went mainstream. see some of us have to work for a living, for instance i work 30hrs a week at a supermarket making 12.70 an hr and go to school full time. even if street raceing wasnt a stupid juvinile practice and i WAS into it...i wouldnt have time, im almost always working or doing HW. wining 200 bucks in ten seconds is great, but losing it sucks. i work hard for my money, id rather save it then risk losing it.

wait...two things i forgot to mention:

1) street racing is not a job.

2) NONE of the cars in TFATF were ten second cars...including the charger. the supra and charger both ran around 11 sec in the 1/4 mile. that movie was 90% bullshit anyways, dont take anything you hear in it seriously, it was all for entertainment value...

First of all the only one who brought up TFATF is you, everyone knows that none of the cars in the movie preform as good a street cars its at the end of the DvD. TFATF is not street raceing but mtv's True life is and you know why, BECOUSE I HAVE BEEN STREET RACEING!! Its exactaly like that. Ive raced 7 times and out of all thoes times no cops no huge crowds of people, the largest group ive seen was about 15 - 20 people.Out of all 7 street races ive done i Profited $2200.00 enough to finish my engine swap. Im a full time collage student so i dont have time to work 40 hours a week makeing chump change. Street raceing is here to stay and every friday night ill be there. :D

If you never street raced how would you know what its like huh? The most i ever lost in one night was $800.00 and i won $1700.00 The following friday night. Who the hell said street raceing was a living? is makeing $12 an hour a liveing also? NO its called quick cash to pay the bills. So unless you plan on working at a supermarket the rest of your life i wouldent call that a living. And as for street raceing being reakless and immature, It happens to be one of the most thrilling thing ive everdone in my life. No offence but are your partents cops? how could you be so judgmental of something you know little about. My reason for tunning cars is to make money not waste it. Whats your reason? Guys hey wow. SHUT UP! TFATF was a gay movie. and i was refering to how the tires came off the ground when he punched it. the Cuda actually does that. Also Street racing for me is just braging rights we do it among friends and we take each others money. theres never anyone more than me and him and maybe a pasenger. Its all fun and games and we are very safe about it we got to the local airpor which is closed at night and open to anyone who wants to go out there. Street racing is so freaking fun you would not believe it. if you have never done it get your ass out there and have some fun because your adrenaline is pumping and your having a blast. ohh and about my car being slow. Yes it is now. key word now. i only have 80000 miles on my car which is preity damn good considering the fact that its a 95. I also dont want a really fast car to begin with because i enjoy working on my car. i also love civics. EX DX LX SI i like them all. I have a 2 door for the person that was asking. its black and very beautiful. i do have a sound system already and it sounds preity damn good to.

ok so you took a gambel and made some money...what do you want a fucking medal? i could do the same thing by playing the lotery or going to vegas, you took a chance and won some money, woopdie fucking do :rolleyes: and MTV's true life was a fucking joke, none of those cars impressed me, also notice how a lot of people at the end of the show had quit doing it...thats cuz its fucking stupid and wreakless. i did my fair share of wreakless driving when i was younger, but ive grown up a bit. i dont feel the need to punch it and do 90 on a twisty road or race some punk kid the lane next to me with a riced out civic. ughh...whatever, im done debating this. do what ever you want, i really dont give a shit, just dont kill anybody in the process....
