ok as you know i have a swap in mind over winter...i just want to know the advantages and disadvantages of a CRVtec over a B16A...also a LS/VTEC over a B16A, i want to know hp on each torque as well....what do i need to do each of the swaps...i need help, ALL info please!! more info the better...which one is the best for a turbo? and which is best for N/A..

any frankenstien will require more tuning which will cost more $$$. the b16 is just the engines power, so it will cost less but be less powerful. if tuned right, i'd go with a crvtec or the cheaper lsvtec
either way $$$

I'd get the B16A swap, since it's the cheapest. then later on you could always upgrade to a ls/vtec or crvtec. if you boost it, you can go plenty fast on a boosted B16A. if you're gonna stay all-motor, up the displacement with the crvtec so you end up with the honda version of a "big block".

and make sure with any frankenstein hybrid that you go to a shop that is reliable and that has plenty of experience doing the swap. this way you can avoid the reliability issues that some people experience due to a poor choice in shops.
all engines are good for n/a. all though you do get more displacement from the lsvtec or CRVtec swap, the b16a can be tuned and built to be a powerful n/a motor.

HEY MAN IF YOU WANTED TO KEEP THE MONEY ISSUE OF THE SWAP UNDER CONTROL U COULD JUST DROP IN A LS OR B20 WITHOUT THE VTEC HEAD AND SAVE A LIL THEN DROP THE VTEC HEAD ON. AND WHILE YOU WOULD HAVE THE HEAD OFF YOU COULD GET A NICE HEAD JOB SOME VALVES,SPRINGS ALL THE GOODIES AND NEVER LOSE YOUR RIDE FOR TOO LONG. AND AN LS WITH SOME NICE CAMS WOULD BE PRETTY STRONG FOR THE TIME BEING, THEN DROP THE VTEC HEAD.
