okay i am gonna tell u straight. I have a 2000 honda civic dx. I have about 2500 hundred to make it go fast. i dont know shit about motors so speak kinda clearly and where can i buy the stuff. I wanna increase at least 120 hp to the car. What can i do and where do i buy the stuff. Plz tell me anything that can help.:confused:

ok well rudy to 120hp out of that motor your looking at a lot of work and more than 2500 bucks to get you that. Now there are several options: you can get a b16a swap (civic si) or b18c1 (gsr) and then boost it and you will get the 120hp that you want. Now those will cost you more than 2500 to do that. Or you can look for a used turbo kit for your car and put pistons and rods in you motor along with a bigger fuel pump and injectors and boost 15-16psi on that motor, and with tuning you might get that 120hp out that motor. Any other suggestions from anybody else?

get the engine swap first. then save some more for FI

to increase 120hp your gonna need a engine swap.

Get a B20Z engine (CRV) from hondamotorsonline.com. the engine is only $800 plus shipping and handling. any transmission from the integra or civic SI would work fine. the engine and transmission alone shouldn't cost more than $1500. expect to pay about $1000 for installation or maybe $800 if you can find a good place. thats the only way i can think of to use $2500. a turbo wouldn't be so good on your DX engine. swap is the only way to go, then supercharger/turbocharger.

at hondamotors online they build a turbo CRVtec that can easily throw down 300hp.
not sure on the cost though
