A local shop is gonna charge me 150 to tune my car with a v-afc and hoenstly i dont have that much $ to spend on that so i would like to adjust it myself. I know it wont be as accurate but figure it could at least help. Im not too sure even how to work the screen so any help would appreciated.

I dont know how to set anything on it either, but it would be better to get your car dyno tuned with the v-afc. :D Sorry that was no help.

I mean I know a little about it for my 99 Si, and far and adding fuel or taking fuel away at VTEC, or changing the VTEC cross over, but I dont know what the best setting would be.

And yes I'm starting to be a post whore when I can!

150 is a good price for tuning your V-AFC, is that hourly or flat rate?

You have to get it tuned at a dyno. They have to also have a wideband o2 sensor to tune it correctly. there is no way you can tune that thing just by messin with it, it can cause some engine trouble.

Correct tuning will optimze your true engines performance, it fixes lean spots throughout your fuel cuve. You can see a good amount gains if your car is somewhat modified. good luck

if your running extremely rich then try to booty tune it yourself if you want more power just get it tuned professionally on a dyno machine..

you will never figure it out yourself unless you have a dyno or have a plug and play ecu where it tells you your fule curves and shit . either do it right or dont do it , thats my motto.

to really tune it yourself you'll need to have a accurate way to see the A/F ratio, which is gonna mean you need the dyno, unless you have a wideband O2 meter laying around :)

another thing too, make sure that you right down all the settings after getting it tuned. when I put a s-afc in my buddy's Si, it was all tuned and happy and then it reset itself and lost all the settings. only do it that one time, but it would suck to pay $150 to get it tuned and loss the settings.
