What do you think about a magna flow exhaust system. Is it cheap and not worth it, or can I get some good power out of it?

i never heard it on a civic yet, but i heard it on a caliver and it sounded really deep, and rumbly at WOT, sounded pretty good to me.

does the type of exhaust matter in performance? or is it just mostly for sound and the way a person likes to hear there car?

the type of exhaust doesnt matter in performance, what matters is the diameter of the piping and least amount of bends the piping has. The rest is all looks and sound

as long as the bends are mandrel, when they stay the same diameter in turns, instead of crush bent where they get smaller in turns, and the piping diameter stays the same, then the power output should be the same. so if the magnaflow pipiing in the muffler isn't restrictive, then it should give as much power as the next brand.

I've heard it on many VW's, I love it personally.
Only thing is, it's only 2.25" for my car, just too small for the turbo. ;)
