go for some DC headers

yeah, a cam would help a lot, get that thing going on the top end. the nice thing with a SOHC engine though is there's only one cam to buy :)

if you were planning on keeping you motor, then I'd say get the pistons, but since you're gonna get the B18C, get the cam. it's cheaper and not that hard to put in.

Just get a ZEX cam i'm 99% sure you can use them with nitrous setup... hence the manufacturer. i definitely know they make one for SOHC hondas because they have a 1993 civic hatchback.

i know this may be a given; but i failed to see where you listed the cam GEAR that i'm sure you've already installed, right? i mean for around $100 you can add up to 30hp. plus they're fun to play with. this would beat a cam to my engine. esp. if you've got the sohc.

i dont know where you got the 30hp gain from a cam gear but thats totslly false. MAYBE and just MAYBE if you had turbo a cam port and polished head and a cam in your motor you would get that #, but not just from a cam gear alone. Look at previous import tuners and in the power pages whenever they install a cam gear its a maximum of around 5hp. Now on cars with a cam already there is more power seem but not with a cam gear alone.

well, heres the skinny, cam gears are cool, but require dyno tuning. your ass dyno aint gonna cut it. as for cams themselves, i am a FIRM beliver that cams are worth it. camming my 91 camaro was night and day. but, camming shit causes a shift in the power band. cant have low end torque and high end pull. either or, but, just like my argument for turbo lag, who races in the bottom half of the tach. so, if its worth it, cam the bitch, hell, spray it too. but, think of the long run, if motor swap costs more now but pays off hella more later, than do it. i dumped so much money into a shitty motor(my camamro) that i could have had one bad mamajama if i had just thought ahead. we live and we learn.
