I'd be surprised if you broke a shifter made from billet aluminum, not saying it's impossable, I just don't wether it's an issue. if you did get a brand name one like DC, if it did happen, I'm sure they would make it right.

I got the Neuspeed S.S. and I love it the throw is awesome and the height is great too. Sort of stiff and very precise shifts. I yank it alot and it takes everything I've ever thrown at it.

I have a generic short shifter...OBX baby...only cost me $20. The throw is short, and it does what it was meant to do. If it breaks, i wont complain..you get what you pay for. From what i hear tho, skunk2 has the best, but it'l cost you ass! lol

I had a freind of mine that stole one just to see if he could get away with it and he gave it to me. That and about six washers and that bad boy feels better than my freinds and he has skunk 2, but my other freind bought a B&M short throw and mine is a shorter throw but his a little tighter feeling.

ALERT! Do NOT buy crappy short throw shifters. Lemme tell you my experience. I bought the DC sports, Alumunum one, and that piece of crap broke going into third gear when I was street racing a Del Sol!!! This punk ass had the nerve to slow down and ask me what happened, and then when I held up the knob, with the busted aluminum piece sticking out, he just laughed and said "shouldn' have got the cheap shit!" AHHHH!!! Anyway, then I bought the B&M one and got the Neuspeed shift bushings *haleluyuh* It has the best feel, solid, and accurate. I have never missed a shift, and it just feels GOOD! The skunk2 one is what we have in our ten second hatchback at the shop, and that one feels real good too. However, I sell the B&M for like $49, and I seel the Skunk2 one for $125 with the shift knob. So you make the call, same feel, but HUGE price difference. I would go B&M all the way!

Hey, I got picks of this broken DC sports short shifter if anyone begs to differ. I am telling you, ONLY get the Skunk2 or the B&M. It only takes one time to BUST, and if it is like me it is the time that you are FINALLY getting your shot to show some punk mouth trick that his car really aint' shit! It sucks BAD, when you loose cuz' your cars gives out! not because it is slower.

We have an international shipping account, since we import so much stuff from Australia, so it should not be that much. I would say under $15?? That is just a guess, but if you are serious give the shop a call on Monday and ask for me, and I will find out.

The B&M shoft shifter is VERY strong, very solid, and it reduces the throw around 40%-50% I always have them in, so just give me a call. Also, the Neuspeed bushings are like $15 or something, I will get you the accurate price when you call to order.

You don't need anything to switch out to Short Shifter. I would reccomend the bushings in Urethane of course, but that is only to HELP prevent miss-shifts (the dreaded enemy) It also give the shifter a more solid feel. If you are like me, and you had to switch your shift linkage due to you swap, then it helps for it not to "rattle" around Keeps it sturdy in gear.

yeah my old short shifter rattled like crazy, and it needed greese...so it would make a really loud squeeking noise! really annoying and embarassing..
so which bushings to you reccomend the most?

Go with the NeuSPEED or the Prothane, those are prolly the the two best. Real nice feel like I said, and they will not wear out. I have the NeuSPEED, but I wish I got the Prothane ones. I got the Prothane motor mounts, and those are real nice. So I imagine that the shift bushings are good too.
