Has anyone gone from regular coilovers to Ground Control coilovers. I ask this cause i wanted to get rid of my Weapon R's and get Ground Control but didnt know if the ride quality was that much different?

They are about the same, from what I understand. Get Tein!

hrmm, i have weapon R's too and wanted to know the same thing...w/ either skunk2 or ground controls. Whats your reason for not liking weaponR?

I have the ground control with the tokico adjustables. I would want stiffer springs, I have the tokicos on the stiffest setting right now. if I were to do it again I would try the skunks, heard those are pretty stiff.

I also might be trying the OBX coilovers, pretty decent price and they're a full shock and spring coilover with 12-way adjustable shocks.

Ummm a lot, its like $1100-1200 for the coilovers, and like $400.00 for the cockpit contoller...I think! But damn that would be a killer set up. Its the lazy mans set up. :D

yeah, it sould be tight to have more stuff in the car to play with. I would probably rear end someone playing with the shocks :)

Ground Control products are excellent. You can change the spring rates to your preference. Talk to the people at GC, they should be able to help you figure out what's best for your needs.

i dont think they can change the spring rate, i think the springs themsleves are progressive rate, meaning they get stiffer the more they compress, i might be wrong, I'll just call GC and see what they say. Are they still selling for 389.00. I havent seen them any cheaper than that.

yeah, they use progressive rate Eibach springs. they might have different springs they could sell seperately, like ones meant for a heavier car like a teg or something.

Ground Control is all linear rates for their coilovers. You can get different rates depending on what you plan on doing with your car. Whether it's autocross, roadracing, street car, or a combination. :D

i found some ad on the partstrader..some guy claims that he's having a blow out sale on ground controls. $150 supposedly for the rest of his stock on the ground controls. Dont know if he's for real, but if he is...i'm all over it. I've been asking him many questions to see if he's legit and real, so i will keep you guys updated.

if you want a stiffer yet smoother ride just get the ground controls and toss in some koni yellows. its not a full coil over kit like the teins but it rides smooth as fuck, i installed that same setup on a 99 civic Si bout 3 weex back and he says it rides like a dream.

im also getting pretty good reviews on the V-spec coil overs, easy intall and fit in perfectly!

my shop sells all the suspension products youll ever need, at low prices.
